Former Super Eagles and Everton striker, Daniel Owefin Amokachi, has backed England forward, Tammy Oghenetega Abraham, to succeed with Besiktas after he joined the Turkish side on loan, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 27-year-old joined AC Milan on loan from AS Roma at the start of last season, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists in 44 games at the San Siro.

Despite winning the Italian Super Cup with the Rossoneri, the seven-time UEFA Champions League winners opted against signing Abraham permanently.

Tammy Abraham has now joined 16-time Turkish Champions, Besiktas, on a season-long loan deal, with the obligation to buy at the end of the campaign included, if a certain criterion is met.

Amokachi spent three seasons at Besiktas, and backed the former Chelsea forward to become the next big thing in Turkey, urging him to achieve something special under Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

“Tammy, I see the potential in you to become the next Black Bull. I believe in you, and I'm sure that as long as you keep scoring goals, this big Besiktas family will love you more and more.

“You can count on that. This season is going to be something special,” the one-time FA Cup winner told Süperbahis.

Famously nicknamed “The Bull”, Amokachi won the Turkish Super Cup in his time at Besiktas, scoring 25 goals and providing 23 assists in 112 appearances for the Black Eagles.
