Spanish LaLiga club Sevilla resumed pre-season camping on Monday, ahead of the 2025/2026 campaign, and two of their three Nigerian stars were part of the returning party, Soccernet.ng reports.
Los Nervionenses will be looking to do way better than they did last season under their new coach Matias Jesus Almeyda.
Some of the players arrived at the club last week to undergo their medical checks. Then, on Sunday, they resumed at the club's training facility – José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Sports and Business Campus.

Most of the players were on ground, including Nigerian attackers Chidera Ejuke and Akor Adams. However, Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho was conspicuously missing.

Ejuke and Adams had disappointing campaigns last season. Ejuke joined last summer and managed just two goals and one assist in 25 appearances. He struggled to find his feet at the club and ultimately struggled with multiple injuries.

Adams, on the other hand, joined Los Nervionenses in January, but spent more time on the treatment table than the pitch.
Nonetheless, they will look to rise above the disappointment of last season and produce better performances next season.
What is the latest on Kelechi Iheanacho?
Just like Chidera Ejuke and Akor Adams, Kelechi Iheanacho joined Sevilla last season, but he had a worse campaign than Adams and Ejuke.

The former Manchester City man struggled to get playing time at Sevilla and had to join Championship club Middlesbrough in January.
Around that period, Sevilla's former sporting director Victor Orta admitted that signing him was a mistake.
Iheanacho failed to make an impression at Middlesbrough. So, they parted ways at the end of the season.

With Orta statements, it is almost clear that Iheanacho is surplus to requirements at Sevilla and club will want to offload him to make space for other players. But at the moment, the Super Eagles forward has not been linked to any club.
As such, he was expected to return for pre-season camp with the rest of his teammates. But according to Futbol Fantasy, Iheanacho has been struggling with gastroenteritis.
However, he is expected to be fully fit in the coming days and will rejoin his Sevilla teammates.
By the time he returns to action, he will hope to impress coach Almeyda. Perhaps he might just get into the manager's plans for the 2025/26 season.
