The Super Falcons of Nigeria claimed a comprehensive 3-0 win over Tunisia in their opening game of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday, and they will be looking to have a good run for the rest of the competition, Soccernet.ng reports.
Goals from Asisat Oshoala, Babajide Rinsola, and Chinwendu Ihezuo sealed the win for Madugu’s ladies.
However, the Super Falcons still have a lot of work to do, as they have two games left in the group stage. In fact, they need just one more win to seal their spot in the quarterfinals.

Who will the Super Falcons play next?
Nigeria's next opponent at the 2024 WAFCON is Botswana. The Mares are coming off a 1-0 loss to Algeria in their opening game of the 2024 WAFCON.

Botswana, who are appearing in just their second WAFCON, put up a decent fight against Algeria, but they just fell short. Nonetheless, the Super Falcons have to be at the top of their game to prevent any surprises.
The game will be played on Thursday, July 10, at Stade Larbi Zaouli - the same ground that Nigeria defeated Tunisia on Sunday.

Nigeria were drawn in the same group with Botswana for the 2022 WAFCON, and the Super Falcons defeated them 2-0 then.
Coach Madugu and his ladies will look to do grab a bigger win against the Mares of Botswana and seal their spot in the knockout rounds.
