Super Eagles and former Galatasaray attacker, Henry Onyekuru, is preparing to become a free agent at the end of June, Soccernet.ng reports.

Per reports from Footy-Africa, three Turkish clubs have launched early moves to secure his signature ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Further reports suggest that Kocaelispor, Besiktas, and Fenerbahce are all actively pursuing the talented winger, who will depart Saudi Pro League side Al-Fayha upon the expiration of his contract.

Here’s a breakdown of the three clubs in the race to sign Onyekuru:

1. Kocaelispor

Kocaelispor may not carry the same European pedigree as the other two suitors, but the club is quietly working to make a statement in the Turkish top flight.

Sources confirm the club has reached out to Onyekuru’s representatives at Foot&Ball to explore his interest in leading their attacking charge next season.

A move to Kocaelispor could offer the Nigerian star a leading role and guaranteed playing time.

2. Besiktas

Besiktas have previously expressed interest in Onyekuru, and this summer might finally be the time they make a serious move.

With the club keen on injecting Onyekuru's services into their frontline, his experience in the Turkish Süper Lig could be a valuable asset. Talks have reportedly begun as Besiktas aim to beat their rivals to the deal.

3. Fenerbahce

Fenerbahce, one of Turkey’s biggest and most successful clubs, are also in the mix. The Yellow Canaries are no strangers to Nigerian talent and are believed to see Onyekuru as a player who can boost their wide attacking options.

While competition for spots would be stiff, contending for major honours could sway the 28-year-old.
