Euro 2024 showcased some of Europe's finest football talents, with several players of Nigerian descent making significant impacts for their respective countries.

While these players were eligible to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria, they chose to play for European nations.

Soccernet.ng highlights six standout players at the tournament who could have donned the Super Eagles jersey.

Noah Okafor – Switzerland

Born to a Nigerian father and Swiss mother, Noah Okafor featured in all seven of Switzerland's matches at Euro 2024, accumulating 275 minutes of playtime.

He provided one assist and maintained a passing accuracy of 80.29%. Despite not scoring, his contributions were key to the Swiss team's performance.

Michael Folorunsho – Italy

Folorunsho made his tournament debut for Italy as a stoppage-time substitute in their 2-1 victory over Albania. This appearance officially cap-tied him to the Azzurri.

Eberechi Eze – England

The Crystal Palace forward participated in three matches for England, totalling 99 minutes of playtime. While he didn't register any goals or assists, his involvement added depth to the squad.

Joshua Zirkzee – Netherlands

Zirkzee made two appearances for the Netherlands, totaling just four minutes on the field. Despite limited playtime, his inclusion in the squad indicates the Dutch team's recognition of his potential.

Bukayo Saka – England

Saka was instrumental in England's journey to the Euro 2024 final. He played all seven matches, scoring once and providing an assist. Notably, Saka scored a crucial equalizer against Switzerland in the quarter-finals and successfully converted his penalty in the shootout, helping England advance to the semi-finals.

Jamal Musiala – Germany

Musiala had a standout tournament for Germany, scoring three goals in five matches. His performances earned him the Euro 2024 Golden Boot, which shows his importance to the German squad.
