Super Eagles and FC Nantes winger, Moses Daddy-Ajala Simon, was delighted after winning the 2025 Unity Cup against Jamaica at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford yesterday, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 29-year-old came off the back of a brilliant individual season with his club side, scoring eight goals and providing 10 assists in 35 games for the Yellow Canaries.

Simon broke the deadlock for the Super Eagles against Jamaica and stepped up to sweep home a well-struck spot-kick in the penalty shoot-out as Nigeria lifted their first title under Eric Chelle.

The former Levante man captained Nigeria on the night and was delighted to lift his first trophy with the Nigerian National team.

“We expected a tough game because we know they're a difficult side. They're a strong side and are also very physical, so the coach just told us to be calm and we'd get a good result against them, and we profited off that.

“Everyone is excited, and we're glad because it's the first trophy with the new manager, and for me, it's my first trophy with the national team. For me, they all count,” the fleet-footed winger said in his post-match interview.

Simon, alongside his teammates, will be focused on their friendly game against Russia in five days before the players depart for their summer holiday.
