Nigerian international striker Umar Sadiq is set for another move this summer, with Deportivo Alavés and newly-promoted Elche CF reportedly interested in securing his services, Soccernet.ng has learned.
The 28-year-old forward spent last season on loan at Valencia, where he scored five goals in 25 La Liga appearances, helping the club maintain its top-flight status.
However, with no purchase option included in the loan deal, the Super Eagles attacker returned to his parent club, Real Sociedad.
Sources close to the player, per Africa Foot, reveal that Alavés have made initial inquiries regarding Sadiq’s profile as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
Sadiq, who joined Real Sociedad from UD Almería in 2022, has struggled to nail down a consistent spot due to injuries and fierce competition.
A move to either club could offer the Nigerian a chance to revive his form ahead of upcoming Super Eagles assignments, including World Cup qualifiers and potential AFCON preparations.
