Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has sent his best wishes to Leicester City's legendary striker Jamie Vardy who is set to leave the club this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

Vardy has been at Leicester City since 2013, helping the club from the lower tiers of English football to becoming a well-known team.

The English striker played a big role in the Foxes' Premier League and FA Cup triumphs in 2016 and 2021. However, he announced that he will be leaving the club at the end of the campaign, bringing his 13-year stay at the club.

Vardy will play his final game of the season against Bournemouth on Sunday. Whether he scores or not, he will leave Leicester City as the club's highest goalscorer with 200 goals after 500 games.

Ahead of his exit, Super Eagles midfielder Ndidi, who Vardy has played the second-most games with (250), has sent him his best wishes.

“What a guy, A guy wey sabi,” Ndidi wrote.

“Goal machine, it's a pleasure to share same dressing room with you for years. You are an inspiration on and off the pitch. All the best for what comes next.”

Jamie Vardy and Wilfred Ndidi with uncertain futures

While it is confirmed that Jamie Vardy will leave Leicester City, his next destination has not been confirmed yet. He has been linked with a transfer to the English Championship, the MLS, and Saudi Arabia. However, he is expected to announce his decision soon.

Meanwhile, Ndidi's future is also in the balance. Now that the Foxes have been relegated from the Premier League, Ndidi could leave for €9 million.

The Super Eagles star has admirers in England and abroad. And if a good offer comes, he would likely move.
