Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor are looking to sign Paul Onuachu this summer as Southampton are willing to reduce their valuation of the Super Eagles striker, Soccernet.ng reports.

Trabzonspor have been eyeing Onuachu since he left the club last year. Recall that he had a season-long loan spell there last season, and he was quite impressive, contributing 17 goals and four assists in 25 appearances.

However, the Super Lig club failed to complete the transfer as they could not meet up with Southampton's demands.

The Saints were asking for €15 million, but Trabzonspor tried to beat the price down. Unfortunately for the Turkish side, Southampton did not agree.

Recently, Trabzonspor's president Ertugrul Dogan confirmed that they recently asked Southampton for Onuachu, but the price was still too high for them.

Nonetheless, it looks like a deal can now happen. According to Fanatik, Southampton have decided to reduce their valuation of Onuachu. This is as the club have been relegated from the English Premier League and the Super Eagles star has not shone much this season.

Also, Onuachu has just one year left on his contract, and he could end up leaving for free next summer if Southampton do not cash out now.

Over the past two years, Paul Onuachu's price has dropped steadily. Per Transfermarkt, he is now valued at €8 million.

The former FC Midtjylland man also has just one year left on his contract, so Southampton won't be able to command a big fee for a transfer.

As such, the Saints could set their price for Onuachu at around €7-€8 million.
