A sensational solo goal from Super Eagles winger, Simon Moses, has been shortlisted for the Ligue 1 Goal of the Season award following a dazzling display at the Stade de la Beaujoire, Soccernet.ng reports.
The forward produced a moment of magic in the 89th minute of Nantes’ clash against Rennes, weaving through defenders before unleashing a powerful strike from inside the box that flew past veteran goalkeeper Steve Mandanda and into the right side of the net.
The goal sealed a vital 1–0 win for Antoine Kombouaré’s side and also caught the attention of the Ligue 1 organisers, who nominated it among the best goals of the season.

Meanwhile, earlier reports from Soccernet.ng suggest that Simon’s spectacular strike against Rennes may have saved Kombouaré’s job, as the Nigerian winger secured a vital 1-0 victory in Ligue 1
The Nigerian international handed Nantes their first win since August as at then, and lifted the team out of the relegation zone into 13th place with 14 points.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that the winger’s standout performances this season have attracted interest from several clubs across Europe, all looking to secure his services ahead of the summer transfer window.
