Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi could be on his way out of Leicester City this summer following their relegation to the English Championship, Soccernet.ng reports.
Ndidi was an important player for Leicester City last season, but he could not help them avoid relegation. The Super Eagles midfielder featured in 27 games across all competitions and had four assists to his name.
He was coming off a summer when he just signed a new contract with the former English Premier League champions after the previous contract expired at the end of last season.
Following Leicester City's relegation, some clubs have been showing interest in acquiring his services. And this is not the first time, as Ndidi always gives his all on the pitch.
Besiktas have been linked with the 28-year-old midfielder for the past two years. And one or two Premier League sides would also be considering the transfer.
Now, in a new development, per Euro foot, there is a clause in Ndidi's contract that allows another club to pay €9 million for his services if Leicester City gets relegated.

This is a big twist, as €9 million is an affordable fee for clubs in the Premier League or the other top five leagues. Clubs in Turkey could also afford the fee, especially as Ndidi does not command high wages.
With the summer transfer window drawing close, it seems likely that Wilfred Ndidi will leave the King Power Stadium.
