Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman are the two biggest names in Nigeria’s lineup against Zimbabwe, as coach Eric Chelle has named the same starting lineup from the 2-0 win against Rwanda last week, Soccernet.ng reports
Nigeria play Zimbabwe in their sixth game of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Tuesday. The Super Eagles are fresh off a 2-0 win over Rwanda at the Stade Amahoro last Friday and they will be looking to claim back-to-back wins against the Warriors.
Going into the game, coach Chelle has stuck with the same lineup that gave him the 2-0 win over the Amavubi last week.

Chippa United star Stanley Nwabali keeps his place in between the sticks. Then at the heart of defence, Chelle has deployed Calvin Bassey and William Troost-Ekong. The fullbacks are Ola Aina and Bright Osayi-Samuel.
Then in midfield, Wilfred Ndidi will operate as the defensive midfielder, while he will have Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, Moses Simon, and Samuel Chukwueze just in front of him. Then, Galatasaray star man Osimhen leads the attack.
How will Nigeria’s Super Eagles shape up?

From the selection, it will likely be the same setup as the last game against Rwanda. Though it seems like a 4-1-4-1, it could change to a 4-4-2, with Simon partnering Osimhen upfront, while Iwobi and Chukwueze operate wide and Lookman playing a free role.
From the last game against Rwanda, the players struggled in this system, but they could change now after two days of training.
The Super Eagles will hope to clinch the vital three points from the game.
