The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that they will be giving out free jerseys to the first 500 fans who buy tickets for the Super Eagles' match against Zimbabwe on Tuesday, Soccernet.ng reports.

After beating Rwanda last week, Nigeria will be gunning for back-to-back wins in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers when they lock horns with Zimbabwe in Uyo.

The Super Eagles seem to be experiencing a resurgence under the tutelage of coach Eric Chelle, who started on a good note last week. However, it may take a while before fans start to believe in the team again after disappointing on numerous occasions.

In an attempt to draw fans to the Stadium, the NFF have announced that they will give out Super Eagles jerseys to the first 500 fans who buy the tickets. This was relayed via a release signed by the General Secretary Dr Mohammed Sanusi on Monday afternoon.

“We are calling on Nigerians to come out in large numbers to support the Super Eagles on Tuesday. The team needs the support. When we played Rwanda in Kigali on Friday, the Rwandans filled up the Amahoro Stadium to its full capacity. Let our people also come out in throngs and cheer the Eagles,” the NFF wrote.

“We are also appealing to fans to come to the stadium in Nigerian colours. Let us fill up the stadium in green and white colours, and drum and dance to support the team.”

Sales of tickets for the game will start on Tuesday morning to discourage the production of fake tickets.

The game between Nigeria and Zimbabwe will be played at the 30,000-capacity Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, the best stadium in the country currently. Kick off time is 5 PM Nigerian time on Tuesday, March 25.

Tickets prices for the game is set at NGN1,000 for regular and NGN3,000 for VIP. However, the Governor of Akwa Ibom, Umo Eno has paid for all the tickets. Hence, fans will not have to pay to get the tickets.

However, fans who can't access the tickets can catch it on Pay TV. Meanwhile, Soccernet.ng will ensure that fans are kept up-to-date with blow-by-blow action through live commentary from 4:55 PM Nigerian time on Tuesday.
