Nottingham Forest pushing hard for Ola Aina renewal

English Premier League club Nottingham Forest are working hard to renew the contract of Super Eagles defender Ola Aina before the end of the season, Soccernet.ng reports.

Aina’s future has been in the balance in recent weeks following his run of impressive performances for Forest and his tricky contract situation. The Nigerian striker has been in top form for the Tricky Trees, providing two goals and one assist in 27 appearances.

His performances have even prompted links with Premier League champions Manchester City, who need to undergo a squad revamp.

Even though Aina has affirmed his desire to stay at City Ground, he is set to be a free agent by the summer as his contract will expire at the end of the season.

Although Nottingham Forest have not officially confirmed that they are making moves to renew Aina’s contract, but Talk Forest TV reveals that the club has already opened talks and wants to get the deal sorted as soon as possible.

Money will be a big determinant for Aina, as Manchester City and other top clubs would present bigger pay.

Is it time for Ola Aina to move on?

Nottingham Forest star Ola Aina

Aina has been nothing but brilliant this season. In fact, he would feature in the top three if all the Premier League right-backs were ranked.

With his performance this season, the Super Eagles star will be hungry to achieve bigger things, and Nottingham may not operate at this level next season.

If he moves to Manchester City or Liverpool, he will be almost assured of silverware. He will also get better as he will be playing with some of the best players in the world.

Nonetheless, Aina has made it clear that he loves Nottingham Forest. So sentiments could come.to play in his decision-making.
