Super Eagles attacker Paul Onuachu provides a brilliant assist in Southampton's English Premier League clash against AFC Bournemouth, Soccernet.ng reports.

Onuachu provided the assist for Southampton’s only goal in their 3-1 home defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League Matchday 25 on Saturday.

The towering Nigerian attacker found Kamaldeen Sulemana with a pass at the edge of the box, which was matched with a composed finish past Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Despite the loss, the Super Eagles attacker continued his fine form under Juric by playing a key role in the Saints' attacking efforts.

Onuachu has been one of Southampton’s bright sparks in recent weeks, having scored twice and provided one assist in his last four appearances. His contributions have been vital for the Saints, who are fighting to climb out of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Onuachu was not the only Nigerian on the pitch; his compatriot, Joe Aribo, was also in the starting line-up but could do little to help Southampton avoid defeat.

Southampton will now shift focus to their next league fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion, hoping to bounce back and revive their season, with Onuachu expected to remain a key figure in their attack.
