Four-time Emirates FA Cup winners, Sheffield United, are closing in on a deal for 19-year-old Nigeria and Botev Plovdiv winger, Christian Nwachukwu, Soccernet.ng reports.
The teenager is one of the most sought-after young talents in the Bulgarian Professional League. This season, the fleet-footed winger has scored four goals and provided three assists across all competitions.
Primarily a left winger, Nwachukwu is capable of playing on the right and through the centre, showcasing his versatility and ability to adjust to tactical changes.

According to the Telegraph, Sheffield United are working on completing a deal for two attackers before the England winter transfer window slams shut by midnight.
Chris Wilder’s side are due to sign Peruvian striker Jefferson Caceres, and Nigerian winger, Christian Nwachukwu.

As per multiple reports, it is believed that the signing of the duo is primarily for squad depth, and not for the sole purpose of drafting them straight into first team action.
Sheffield United are currently 2nd on the EFL Championships table, two points behind league leaders, Leeds United, and are willing to do whatever it takes to secure top-flight status at the end of the season.

Sheffield United return to Bramall Lane next up as they host Kanu Nwankwo’s former side, Portsmouth. It’s a game the Blades will expect to win with Pompey’s away record being particularly poor.
Portsmouth have won just two of their last eight games, and if a deal for Nwachukwu is sealed on time, he could make his debut in that game.
