English Football League Championship side Burnley have set their sights on Nigerian striker Dominic Daniel Udoh and have entered direct negotiations with his club, Wycombe Wanderers, over a potential summer transfer, Soccernet.ng reports.

The forward, who previously donned the colours of Shrewsbury Town, has piqued the interest of Burnley who are currently vying to make a return to the English Premier League with 68 points, which places them in the third place of the EFL Championship standings.

Meanwhile, should they successfully make a return, Burnley has added Udoh to their priority list for the summer transfer window.

Per reports, Burnley are preparing an offer worth £850,000 (approximately ₦490 million) to secure the services of the talented forward.

“We are in direct contact with Burnley and Wycombe over a deal for Dominic (Udoh). Wycombe have been receptive but are cautious about distractions around him as they believe he is focused on helping the team gain promotion,” the source told Africafoot.

Burnley’s interest in Udoh is serious, with the club already making an initial bid that could tempt Wycombe into negotiations. However, discussions remain ongoing, and a final decision has yet to be made.

The 28-year-old has been a key figure for Wycombe Wanderers this season, contributing with crucial goals and assists as the club pushes for promotion.

His impressive performances have attracted interest from multiple clubs, but Burnley appears to be leading the race for his signature.

No official statement has been made as regards a move for this player, but it is hoped Wycombe will accept Burnley’s offer or demand a higher fee for the Nigerian forward as the summer transfer window approaches.
