English Premier League sides, Arsenal and Liverpool, have held talks about a summer move for Super Eagles and Atalanta forward, Ademola Olajade Lookman, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 27-year-old appears to have strained his relationship with Atalanta head coach, Gian Piero Gasperini after he hit back at the Italian gaffer who earlier labelled him as the worst penalty taker he’s seen.
With Lookman’s contract ending next season, interest in the 2024 CAF Player of the Year is growing, as he’s keen on a return to the English Premier League, following the ongoing feud with his coach, as reported by Calcio Mercato.

As per Caught Offside, Arsenal and Liverpool have held talks regarding a move for Lookman, and Atalanta are seeking at least €60-65 million for the Nigerian attacker, who might be tempted to return to England.
Soccernet.ng earlier reported the Merseysiders have one eye on Lookman as they’re uncertain about the future of Luis Diaz at Anfield.

Gabriel Martinelli is having a season to forget, and Mikel Arteta’s side need to bring in more competition across their frontline if they’re to compete for trophies next season. The Gunners are currently nine behind Liverpool on the English Premier League table.

Arne Slot’s side are considering a move for Lookman, but this will only happen if Luis Diaz moves away from the six-time UEFA Champions League winners.
