“We’re everywhere” – Ola Aina reveals how Nigerian Afrobeats influences Nottingham Forest dressing room

Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest full-back, Olaoluwa Temitayo Aina, has revealed how he brings Nigerian culture to the club via music, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 28-year-old has been one of Forest's standout players this season, and his availability has been a huge plus for the two-time UEFA Champions League winners, as he's featured in every league game the Reds have played this season.

Nottingham Forest have defied the expectations of many this term. After battling relegation over the previous two seasons, Nuno Espirito Santo's men are currently second on the Premier League table, six points behind league leaders, Liverpool.

Aina, who made a goal-line clearance in Forest's 1-1 draw against Liverpool last night, gave some more insight about how his team have been able to improve in the league this campaign.

“We have fun! I think we’re a very energetic group. We take things seriously when needed, but ultimately, we just like to enjoy each and every moment that we have. When we need to be serious and work hard, we do that, but we also know how to enjoy every moment. We just have the right balance right now,” the one-time English Premier League winner said in an interview with NBC Sports.

Quizzed about how he shares his culture with the rest of his teammates, the former Torino man highlighted the Nigerian music as a great go-to to vibe with the team. It is also worth noting that Aina's teammate, Anthony Elanga, has praised his choice of music in the dressing room as well.

“I would say through music. That’s the easiest way. Afrobeats is the easiest way to get the culture across, and the boys love it, so it’s good.

“It means a lot. I’m representing Nigeria and Africa, and it just shows that there’s a lot of talent in Africa. There’s a lot of talent in our origin. We’re everywhere,” the versatile full-back added.

Nottingham Forest have won twelve games in the Premier League this season, just two short of Liverpool's fourteen.
