Super Eagles and AC Milan winger, is set to miss some crunch fixtures for his club side after he picked up an injury in the Rossoneri’s 1-1 draw against AS Roma, Soccernet.ng reports.
The ex-Villareal winger was forced off the pitch in the first half after he fell to the floor, clutching his thigh, and was eventually replaced by Tammy Abraham.
Following an MRI scan, it was confirmed the 25-year-old tore a lesion on his left femoral biceps, damaging his hamstring.
As per Milan News, Chukwueze is expected to be out for at least five weeks, and that will see him miss some crucial fixtures for the seven-time UEFA Champions League winners. The severity of the hamstring damage will be re-examined in ten days as Milan looks to monitor his recovery.

Chukwueze did not travel for the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final against Juventus in Saudi Arabia. Should Milan reach the final, the Nigerian will be unavailable as well. He will also miss his side’s games against Cagliari, Como, Juventus, Girona, Parma, and Dinamo Zagreb.
With Fonseca sacked, the one-time UEFA Europa League winner could move further down in the pecking order of Milan’s attack, as he’ll be unavailable for proper assessment under their new boss, Sérgio Conceição.
However, Chukwueze should be available for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying clash against Rwanda on March 19th, if an injury relapse is avoided. The Super Eagles are currently 5th in their qualifiers group and are desperately in need of wins. Should Chukwueze return to the team, it’ll be a massive boost for Augustine Eguavoen’s side.
For AC Milan, they hope he’ll be fully fit when they take on Inter Milan in the Derby della Madonnina on February 2nd.
