One-capped Super Eagles midfielder Kingsley Michael is reportedly on the verge of sealing a move to Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 side, US Monastir, Soccernet.ng reports.

Michael, who last featured for DSV Leoben in Austria, has been without a club since the 2023-24 season campaign. However, he is now set to revive his career in North Africa.

Per reports from Africa Foot, the 25-year-old Nigerian midfielder has been in discussions with US Monastir, and it is suggested that an agreement is imminent.

Further reports from Africa Foot suggest that the deal is meant to be completed today and an announcement made by the club as soon as possible.

This is a big move for Michael, who last featured for the Super Eagles during their 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Cape Verde, where Nigeria won with 2 goals to 1. A return to form could earn him a recall to the Super Eagles squad.

If the deal goes through, this will be Michael’s first stint in North African football, and it will give him an opportunity to rebuild his career while potentially putting himself back on the radar for international duty.
