Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze is expected to be sidelined for a month, as MRI tests have shown that he has suffered a lesion of the left femoral biceps, Soccernet.ng reports.
Chukwueze was forced off the pitch in AC Milan’s 1-1 draw against Roma at the Giuseppe Meqazza on Sunday. Before his exit, Chukwueze was one of the best players on the pitch. And according to coach Paulo Fonseca who was sacked after the game, the Nigerian’s exit eventually cost the team.
When he hit the turf, Chukwueze appeared to be in a lot of pain and was clutching his thigh, a usual indicator of a hamstring injury.
After the game, tests were conducted on the 25-year-old forward. And it was confirmed that Chukwueze suffered a lesion of the left femoral biceps. In lay man’s words, he simply sustained a hamstring injury.

The former Villarreal man will undergo further tests in the next ten days and is expected to be out of action for a month.
Arsenal to look elsewhere for Bukayo Saka makeshift
Chukwueze’s injury will likely put an end to links between him and Arsenal. Recall that the Nigerian has been heavily linked to the Gunners who are in search of a makeshift right winger following an injury to Saka.
Mikel Arteta: “Bukayo Saka will be out for many, many weeks… probably MORE than 2 months”.

Aside from Chukwueze, Arsenal have been linked to Nico Williams, Arda Guler, Matheus Cunha, and Leroy Sane. They will be looking to add one of the players to their roster this January to ensure that Saka’s absence does not affect them too much.
