Lookman’s achievements in 2024 were remarkable. He was instrumental in Atalanta’s journey to two major finals, the

Coppa Italia and the UEFA Europa League. While Atalanta suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Juventus in the Coppa Italia final, Lookman spearheaded a stunning triumph for the Bergamo-based side by netting a sensational hat-trick in the Europa League final.

His heroics secured a 3-0 triumph over Bayer Leverkusen, handing Atalanta their first European title in history.

The 27-year-old Nigerian also made headlines by becoming the only African player shortlisted for the 2024 Ballon d’Or, where he finished 14th.

To cap off his phenomenal year, Lookman was named the CAF Player of the Year, making him the sixth Nigerian to claim the prestigious title.
