Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has been declared fit for Fenerbahce’s Super Lig game against Konyaspor on Monday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osayi-Samuel has been a regular for former Turkish champions Fenerbahce since Jose Mourinho took over. The 27-year-old defender has started each of their last five games across all competitions.
In the last few days, there have been fears that the Super Eagles star sustained an injury in training that would keep him out of action for Fenerbahce’s next few games.
However, according to Cubuklu Sports, per Sercanhamzaolu, Osayi-Samuel has been confirmed to be fully fit and ready to play for Fenerbahce when they play Konyaspor at the Konya Beyuksehur Belediye Stadium.

This is a big boost for Jose Mourinho, as Konyaspor have proven to be tough customers for Fenerbahce at home. In Fenerbahce’s last five visits to Konyaspor, the Yellow Canaries have won just once.
While his primary responsibility is to defend, Osayi-Samuel would also add a lot to Fenerbahce’s attack with his pace and trickery on the ball.
Galatasaray currently top the Super Lig table with 47 points, eight points above Fenerbahce, who are their closest rivals. If Jose Mourinho’s side fail to win, they could fall to eleven points behind Galatasaray.
Osayi-Samuel will be looking to produce a strong performance to help his side claim the much-needed win.
