Rangers head coach, Philippe Clement, has revealed he is unsure about the severity of Leon Balogun's injury after the Nigerian picked went off in the first half against St. Mirren, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 36-year-old defender has played more games in the first half of this season than he managed in the entirety of the last campaign, becoming an integral part of the Rangers defence.
Balogun was drafted into the Rangers' starting eleven against St.Mirren at the SMISA Stadium but was withdrawn after just 19 minutes. The former Mainz 05 man attempted to continue but was eventually replaced by Robin Propper.

Speaking after the game, Coach Clement revealed he didn't know about the severity of Balogun's injury as he had to focus on other things during the game.
“I don't know yet, to be honest. I didn't have time to speak about that. I had other things to speak about at half-time and after the game also. So, I didn't ask that one because I know the doctor will say he needs to make an assessment tomorrow. So, we will focus on that tomorrow.
“Now we have to focus on changing this game, what the team did in the second half. But then we need to finish it off also. Like I said before the game, you make a rotation to avoid these things. We cannot make more rotations than we did the last couple of weeks, but I don't know what the situation will be with Leon. But it's never a good sign if a player comes off in the first half. Also, as a team, it's never good.
“You need to make a change because maybe we missed that change in the second half to make the difference and to score the second goal and to win this game,” the Belgian gaffer said in quotes revealed by Herald Scotland.
Rangers are twelve points behind Celtic, and need to pick up a run of consistent wins if they're to rekindle a title race before the end of the season.
