Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker, has been rated among the top 50 most valuable athletes on the planet, joining Cristiano Ronaldo, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe on the prestigious list, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 25-year-old won the Serie A with Napoli last season, lifting the Scudetto for the Italian side, a title which eluded for almost three decades.
Alongside his success with the team, Osimhen won the Italian golden shoe last year. On the African continent, he won the CAF Player of the Year award, and was placed 8th in the Ballon d’Or rankings. Osimhen defied the odds his background placed on him and showed great things can happen from small places.
In a report posted by SportsPro, it was revealed the Nigerian striker is amongst the top 50 most valuable athletes in the world. The list features individuals from all walks of the planet, from different sports, recognizing the impact these athletes have on the world at large.
American gymnast, Simone Biles is ranked first on the list while Real Madrid’s left winger, Vinicius Junior follows in second place. Basketball Starman, LeBron James joins Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo in the top ten.
Other footballers in the top 50 include Neymar, Jude Bellingham, Marcus Rashford, Lamine Yamal, and Erling Braut Haaland. Victor Osimhen is in 44th place, one above the lethal Manchester City striker.
Victor Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli in September, and has been in brilliant form for the Turkish Super Lïg leaders.
