Victor Osimhen’s breathtaking goal in Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw with Kasımpaşa has been voted beIN SPORTS’ Matchday seven Goal of the Week, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian striker, who joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli in September, scored twice in the match, his first goals in Turkish football.
It was his second strike in the 28th minute that won the hearts of fans, as he brilliantly controlled the ball with his hips and smashed it over goalkeeper Andreas Gianniotis with his left foot.
Osimhen’s goal secured 77.96% of the 13,188 votes cast, comfortably surpassing efforts from Edin Visca, Andrew Gravillon, and Taulant Seferi.
The Super Eagles forward has quickly adapted to life at Galatasaray, proving decisive in every match since his arrival, either scoring or assisting in all four of his appearances for the club.
Despite missing pre-season due to transfer complications, Osimhen has become a vital player for the 24-time Turkish champions.
However, an injury will see him miss the upcoming UEFA Europa League clash against Latvian side FK RFS.
His availability for Nigeria’s back-to-back 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya is also in doubt, with fans anxiously awaiting updates on the severity of the injury.
Osimhen has already contributed to Nigeria’s success this new season, netting a goal in their 3-0 win over Benin Republic last month.
