Samuel Chukwueze risks getting auctioned to Saudi Arabian clubs in January

Former Serie A champions AC Milan could try to sell Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze to a Saudi Arabian club in January if he does not improve, Soccernet.ng reports.

Chukwueze has been on a roller-coaster ride since joining AC Milan from Villarreal last year. After arriving at the club last season, the Nigerian striker struggled to produce convincing performances.

Throughout last season, he produced three goals and three assists in 33 appearances. Chukwueze had a few glimpses of brilliant, but that was all he did.

This season, things have not improved much. He was great during pre-season and featured in most of AC Milan games. But since the beginning of the campaign, he has been disappointing. Chukwueze has not registered any goal contribution in eight appearances for the Rossoneri.

Due to his performances, there have been talks that AC Milan could sell the 25-year-old forward soon to avoid making a big loss on him.

Recall that they paid Villarreal €20 million for Chukwueze’s services last year, and that amount could seriously decline if the Nigerian continues at his present trajectory.

Now, according to Calciomercato, some Saudi Arabian clubs have indicated interest in signing Chukwueze. If the Nigerian fails to improve, AC Milan would be looking to capitalize on the energy.

Saudi Arabian clubs generally pay well for transfers. As such, the Rossoneri would surely have their sights on them.

Nonetheless, Chukwueze may not be interested in leaving Europe as some top clubs are monitoring his situation and coild look to swoop.
