Report: Super Eagles star says no to Galatasaray, firm on EPL move

Super Eagles and Fenerbahce defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has reportedly declined an offer from Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray, Soccernet.ng reports.

Nigerian broadcast journalist Buchi Lamba reported that the former Queens Park Rangers wing-back is determined to pursue a move to the English Premier League instead.

Osayi-Samuel previously shared with Soccernet his desire to return to England, having moved from QPR to join Fenerbahçe during the winter transfer window.

“I think everyone knows that my ambition is to play English football, to play in the [English] Premier League, you know. No disrespect—they [Fenerbahçe] have done so much for me here [in Turkey]. But my ambition is to play in the Premier League. So when I feel that the time is right, I will take it,” he previously stated.

The Fenerbahçe star remains firm on his ambition to play in England, despite interest from Galatasaray, which shows his focus on securing a move away from Turkey.

The upcoming transfer window could be the best opportunity for Fenerbahçe to profit from his sale, as any delay might see the Turkish side risk losing him on a free transfer.

The Nigerian star joined Fenerbahçe for a fee in the region of €508,000 from QPR, and as the 2022-23 Turkish Cup winner, he could attract considerable interest from European clubs.
