Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was treated to a warm welcome upon his arrival to the Super Eagles camp on Thursday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osimhen has been quite busy in recent weeks due to his inability to secure a move to a big club during the summer transfer.
However, he finally got the monkeys off his back after sealing a season-long loan transfer to Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray on Tuesday.
Initially, there were doubts about his availability for the national team’s games against Benin and Rwanda in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. However, Osimhen allayed the fears and revealed he would make it to camp on time.
On Thursday, the 25-year-old striker got to camp, and he was treated to a nice welcome. He appeared in high spirits, giving hugs to his teammates.
The former LOSC Lille striker was also involved in some friendly banter with Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Boniface, who he has personal relationships with.

Osimhen will likely lead the Super Eagles’ attack for both games against Benin and Rwanda. He will be looking to produce the magic for the team in the final third.
The last time Nigeria played Benin without Osimhen in the team, they lost. But his presence will now give the Super Eagles a boost in the attack.
