PSG still pussyfooting over Victor Osimhen deal with three days until transfer deadline

French Ligue 1 champions PSG have still not tabled an official bid to Napoli for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, Soccernet.ng reports.

The race for Osimhen’s signature has lingered throughout the summer, and there seems to be no end in sight currently.

The 25-year-old Nigerian striker has impressed at Napoli for the past three seasons. He arrived at the club in 2020 after an impressive season with Lille, but he struggled in his first season.

However, he picked up in his second season and hasn’t looked back since then. In his four years at Napoli, the Nigerian striker has registered 76 goals and 18 assists in 133 appearances.

Due to Osimhen’s impressive performances, several top clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia have been linked to him. However, the transfer talks have dragged on since the start of the summer till now, but no cconclusion has been reached.

PSG, Arsenal, and Chelsea appear to be the frontrunners, but the situation has been touch-and-go.

Three weeks ago, it was reported that Les Parisiens had agreed on personal terms for the Super Eagles striker, but they have failed to cut a deal with Napoli.

Now, it appears the status quo is still the same as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano have revealed that PSG are yet to table an official bid to Napoli.

The club already have two strikers in Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos. As it stands, it seems Osimhen will have to remain in Naples for at least the first half of the season because the transfer window closes in just three days.
