“I know” – Troost-Ekong’s previous comments on Osimhen’s next club revive buzz amid transfer saga

Victor Osimhen's transfer away from the Diego Maradona Stadium has taken center stage in the 2024 Summer transfer window...

William Troost-Ekong’s previous comments about Victor Osimhen’s future club have resurfaced, generating fresh buzz as the transfer window intensifies, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Super Eagles forward’s anticipated move from Napoli’s Diego Maradona Stadium has become one of the most talked-about stories of the 2024 Summer transfer window. European clubs are scrambling to secure his signature, leading to an increasingly dramatic saga.

Troost-Ekong’s cryptic remarks about Osimhen’s next destination have reignited speculation, particularly among Italian media outlets such as Tutto Napoli.

His comments have added another layer of intrigue to the ongoing transfer drama surrounding one of Nigeria’s top football stars.

“Where will Osimhen play next year? I can’t say anything, but I know,” said the PAOK defender, who has agreed to join Al-Khalood.

As the transfer saga unfolds, it appears Chelsea’s ambition to bring Osimhen to Stamford Bridge might be waning.

The club is reportedly considering alternatives, including a potential deal with Atletico Madrid’s forward Samu Omorodion.

Additionally, Napoli’s hefty €130 million release clause for Osimhen presents a significant challenge for potential suitors, with Chelsea and Manchester United both at risk of violating Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules if they pursue a record-breaking offer.

For Manchester United, alternatives like Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna are being explored, while Chelsea continues to eye Omorodion.

Paris Saint-Germain and several Saudi clubs remain the most likely contenders to meet Napoli’s asking price for Osimhen, but Troost-Ekong’s comments have left fans speculating about the forward’s ultimate destination.

Arsenal is also linked with Osimhen, but with the new Serie A season approaching, concrete developments are yet to be confirmed.
