Super Eagles striker Isaac Success will remain af Udinese next season despite his poor returns in front of goal last season, Soccernet.ng reports.
Success has been at Udinese since 2021, when he joined the club from Watford for €1.8 million. The former Nigeria youth international failed to perform in England, causing the hornets to push him out to their sister club Udinese.
In the Serie A, the 28-year-old has shown glimpses of brilliant occasionally, but he has not been supplying the numbers expected of a striker.
The former Granada man has provided just six goals and seven assists in 83 appearances for Udinese. In fact, last season, he recorded just one goal from 27 games.
Due to his poor numbers, there have been doubts about Success’ future, especially as Udinese narrowly escaped relegation from Serie A last season. To stay afloat, they would need more firepower.
However, according to new reports from Tutto Udinese, Success’ short-term future seems to settled because the club still have faith in him. As such, he could still play an important role at the club next season.
Nonetheless, if he does not start producing the numbers soon enough, the club could lose their faith in him and be forced to start searching for an alternative.
