Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala has trolled England’s Three Lions following their 2-1 loss to Spain in the final of the UEFA Euro Championships, Soccernet.ng reports.
England and Spain produced a spectacle at the Olympistadion in Berlin when they met in the final of the European Championships.
Both countries had a lot of quality on the pitch, and it showed. After a goalless first half, La Furia Roja took the lead just two minutes into the second half. Nico Williams put them ahead after he cooly slotted the ball in from close range.
However, England pulled one back after some beautiful team work that saw Jude Bellingham lay off a pass to Cole Palmer, who sent a wicked curler past Unai Simon to level the scoring.
It looked like the game would eventually trickle into extra time, but Spain had other ideas, as Mikel Oyarzabal scored in the 86th minute to make it 2-1 to La Furia Roja.
After falling behind for the second time, the Three Lions went on a late onslaught, but Spain held on strong to see out the win.
Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala, who has been rooting for Spain since the beginning of the tournament due to her relationship with Barcelona was quite pleased with the result, and celebrated it on social media.
She also trolled the English, using their famous “It’s coming home” against them. Oshoala wrote, “It’s not coming home” on X.
The final was England’s second consecutive Euro final with Gareth Southgate as coach. The loss could even signal the end of Southgate’s time as England coach.
