How Brazil can outsmart the Super Falcons – Orlando Pride forward Adriana

Brazilian forward Adriana Leal De Silva has revealed how the South American women’s team can overcome the Super Falcons of Nigeria in their upcoming fixture, Soccernet.ng reports.

Randy Waldrum’s troops are scheduled to tackle the Female Canaries in three days for their opening group fixture of the 2024 Summer Olympics tournament.

Adriana, a former Corinthians forward, believes that victory against the Super Falcons in their opening game hinges on respecting key details.

“A detail from a set piece, for example, whether it’s to score a goal or to prevent the opposing team from scoring. Therefore, we must pay as much attention as possible not only in games but also in our daily training,” the forward said, as quoted by SambaFoot.

Brazil has been placed in a challenging group that includes current FIFA Women’s World Cup winner Spain and relentless Japan, who were the 2012 Olympic runners-up.

However, Adriana will not rule out the 11-time Women’s Africa Cup of Nations champions, considering them a tough opponent and recognizing the importance of the match for the Brazilians.

“This first game is crucial. In fact, it will always be like this. We need to have a lot of concentration and focus for this debut and take it step by step,” she added.

The Super Falcons, on the other hand, have been labeled the underdogs of the group. They hope to overcome the formidable opponents they are set to face in the coming days.
