Nigerian celebrities Odumodublvck and Sabinus were pictured struggling with the new Nigerian anthem “Nigeria we hail thee” in William Troost-Ekong’s charity football event on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.
On May 29, the President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola-Ahmed Tinubu signed the re-adoption of the former national anthem “Nigeria we hail thee” to replace the “Arise O compatriots” that most Nigerians are accustomed to
That move has sparked a lot of controversy in recent days, as the “Arise o compatriots” anthem had been in use since 1978.
It would take time for a lot of Nigerians to get used to the current anthem. And of course, across the country, major events have adopted the new anthem.

The Nigerian defenders was not short of support as the event had past and present football stars Ahmed Musa, Brown Ideye, Wilfred Ndidi, Elderson Echiejile, Vincent Enyeama, Carl Ikeme, Stanley Nwabali, Joseph Yobo, and Nwankwo Kanu. There were also celebrities like Falz, Odumodublvck, Pocolee, Ebuka, and Sabinus.
In a comical moment, during the national anthem rendition, Odumodublvck Sabinus were pictured struggling with the lyrics. Odumodublvck looked like he was singing something else, while Sabinus just looked really confused while the rendition was on.
