Nigeria forward Terem Moffi will return to OGC Nice this week after a three-week vacation following the end of the 2023/24 season, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Aiglons will begin their preparations for the 2024/25 campaign at the training center on Monday, as per an official club announcement.
However, Moffi, who was part of Nigeria’s squad for recent World Cup qualifiers, will return on Wednesday, July 3, along with teammates Jeremie Boga, Evann Guessand, and Aliou Baldé.
Moffi will miss the initial two days of training, which will focus on performance tests. He will undergo these tests upon his arrival on Wednesday, the same day the first public training session will be held, allowing fans to meet new manager Franck Haise and his staff.
Nice’s first two warm-up matches are scheduled to be played behind closed doors. They will face Lausanne on July 10 and Leganés on July 19, both at the training center.
The club will start their Ligue 1 campaign on the weekend of August 18 with an away match against Auxerre. Their Europa League journey will begin on September 25 or 26.
120th Anniversary Celebration
Super Eagles striker Moffi will have a huge party to attend when OGC Nice celebrate their 120th anniversary on July 9 at the Château hill.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will feature various activities for the fans.
Founded in 1904, OGC Nice, which is short for Olympique Gymnaste Club de Nice, are one of the most traditional French clubs.
The landlords of the Allianz Riviera have won Ligue 1 four times, the Trophée des Champions once, and the Coupe de France three times.
The club’s most successful period was in the 1950s, and their last major trophy was the Coupe de France in 1997.
