New Napoli manager Antonio Conte has revealed his intention not to block Victor Osimhen’s summer transfer move, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian star has been linked with a move away from Naples, drawing interest from English Premier League clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Conte, who formerly coached Chelsea, is aware of Osimhen’s new contract with Napoli and will not prevent the Super Eagles talisman from leaving the club.
“I’m aware of his situation, I know there’s an agreement with the club, so it’s a different case compared to others,” Conte said as quoted by Romano. “There’s a pact between Victor and Napoli on his future, and I accepted that.”
Further reports from the Italian journalist conclude that the 2023 CAF Player of the Year is expected to exit the Armando Diego Maradona Stadium this summer.
“Osimhen is expected to leave this summer,” Romano wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) platform.
