Five Super Eagles players who were stranded in Lagos due to the nationwide workers' strike have just arrived at the airport in Uyo, Soccernet.ng reports.
Earlier, the NLC and TUC began an indefinite nationwide strike due to the Federal Government’s refusal to increase the minimum wage and reverse the electricity tariff hike.
This disruption prevented players like Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Frank Onyeka, and Paul Onuachu from boarding connecting flights to Uyo for the training camp ahead of their clash against South Africa.
However, the new Super Eagles media officer, Promise Efoghe, has reported that five of these players have made it to the camp just a few hours after the strike action was suspended.

The Super Eagles are ramping up their preparations for the critical World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
On Monday morning, fifteen players participated in a thorough two-hour training session, which included fitness routines, shooting drills, and tactical exercises, all under the guidance of head coach Finidi George.
To ensure optimal recovery, the evening training was canceled, giving players time to rest and rejuvenate before continuing their rigorous schedule.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are slated to tackle South Africa on Friday and it is hoped that this boost in camp will put the team in good shape ahead of their game.
