Super Eagles Eagles defender Olisa Ndah has joined the likes of Ademola Lookman, William Troost-Ekong, Nathan Tella, and Victor Boniface on the list of Nigeria players that have won a major trophy this season, Soccernet.ng reports.
This season, many Nigerian players have played vital roles at their various clubs across the world, and they have reaped the fruits, as some of them have enjoyed success in terms of trophies.
In Germany, Nigeria striker Boniface and compatriot Tella, helped Bayer Leverkusen win their first-ever Bundesliga title. And they did it in style, as they did not lose any game for the duration of the season. They also reached the final of the German Cup, where they defeated second-tier Kaiserslautern to win the title. It could have been a treble for them if they had won the Europa League final, but they lost it to an Atalanta side driven by another Nigerian Lookman.
The explosive Super Eagles star scored a hattrick to help La Dea to their first European title in over six decades.
In Greece, Troost-Ekong was not left out, as he won the league with PAOK. The former Udinese man was out of action for the second half of the season, but he was heavily involved in the first half.
Other players like Peter Olayinka won the Serbian league with Red Star Belgrade, Cyriel Dessers claimed the Scottish League Cup with Rangers, while Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho won the Championship with Leicester City.
The latest addition to that list is Ndah. The Super Eagles star helped Orlando Pirates win the Nedbank Cup on Saturday.
He has been very important for Pirates this season, and he put in a decent shift in defense to help Orlando Pirates win the title with a 2-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns.
