Photos: Wilfred Ndidi reunites with friends in Lagos the summer ahead of possible Leceister City exit

Leceister City star Wilfred Ndidi is currently unwinding in Lagos after a stellar Championship season Soccernet.ng reports.

The midfield maestro has been enjoying a well-deserved break, following Leceister City’s victory in the just concluded 2023/24 EFL Championship. Ndidi recently spent some time relaxing and soaking in the sun at lovely resort.

The Super Eagles player is now back in Nigeria for the summer. Ndidi made this known on Instagram, where he shared a joyful reunion photo with friends, including Nigerian comedian Funnybone.

Beyond leisure, the 27-year-old is slated to participate in a charity match hosted by Attom foundation, alongside other footballers and celebrities this June.

Ndidi is also expected to be seen in action at the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier matches against South Africa and Benin, with Nigerian football fans and enthusiasts eagerly awaiting Super Eagles head coach Finidi George’s squad list.

Meanwhile, Ndidi, a soon-to-be free agent, has hinted at a possible summer departure from Leceister despite his affection for the club.

“If a good chance comes, I won’t mind trying my luck elsewhere but for now I remain a Leceister City player” Ndidi told Complete Sports.

With his Leceister City contract expiring in June and no renewal offer yet, La Liga giants Barcelona and several Premier League clubs have expressed interest in the Nigerian midfielder.
