Prince Amos: Triple 44 Academy teenage sensation previously linked with Barcelona and Ajax joins Norrby IF

18-year-old Nigerian teenage sensation, Prince Amos, has joined Swedish Division 1 side, Norrby IF on a season-long loan with an option to buy from the Triple 44 Academy, Soccernet.ng reports.

The fleet-footed winger signed for the Swedish second-tier club yesterday after passing his medicals and sorting his documents, and will join up with the rest of the team immediately as the Superettan season is only one game in.

Amos has been rated highly since he joined the Triple 44 football academy based in Ibadan, Nigeria. As per Goal, the 2005-born attacker was on the books of five-time UEFA Champions League winners, Barcelona, and the record Eredivisie Champions, Ajax. He also went on trial with Djurgårdens IF, Malmö FF and an unnamed top-flight Belgian club.

After signing for Norrby, the talented youngster is hungry to settle in and is grateful for the hospitality he has received at the club.

“Coming to Norrby feels very exciting and a good opportunity for me. During the last few weeks, I have gained a good impression of the entire association. The squad feels exciting with many young and talented players. There also seems to be a good atmosphere in the squad and I have felt welcome here since the first day,” Amos said in quotes revealed on Norrby's official website.

The 1.65m tall winger hopes to make the most of the opportunity he has been given and is committed to Norrby's course in his time there.

“The hope is to get as much playing time as possible, be involved contribute points and do everything I can to help the team have a really good season,” he concluded.

Norrby secured a great start to their season as they trashed Ängelholm by three goals. Teo Helge broke the deadlock in the 6th minute before Max Arvid Anderrson added a brace.
