Scottish midfielder Todd Cantwell has stated that he is hoping that his chemistry with Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers will yield goals for Rangers in the run-up to the end of the Premiership, Soccernet.ng reports.
Dessers has been decent for Rangers since he joined from Cremonese last summer. The Nigerian striker has been an important player for the Gers, registering 19 goals and eight assists in 48 appearances across all competitions.
He has been the first-choice striker at the club this season, as he has gotten more play time than Danilo, Abdallah Sima, and Fabio Silva.
Scottish midfielder Todd Cantwell has also been a regular for Rangers this season, and the duo have jointly been involved in three goals for the Gers. However, the former Norwich City man is looking to improve on his chemistry with Dessers and help Rangers as the season reaches home-stretch.
“From one of his first training sessions, I think we realised we would be on the same page. Hopefully, we can get a bit of a run together now until the end of the season and get some goals and assists,” Cantwell said per Rangers Review.
The Gers currently sit second in the Premiership, three points behind leaders Celtic. They will be looking end the season on a high and usurp Celtic at the top.
