Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has shared his first post on social media since it was confirmed that he was injured on March 16, Soccernet.ng reports.
Awoniyi has proven to be a prolific goalscorer for Nottingham since he joined the club from Union Berlin last season. He has recorded 16 goals and four assists in 44 appearances for the Tricky Trees.
However, his biggest problem has been his fitness. Awoniyi has struggled badly with injuries since he joined Nottingham. So far, the 26-year-old striker has missed 27 games for Nottingham Forest. He even had to undergo surgery midway through the season and just returned in late January.
He played nine games before sustaining an injury just before the international break, and Nottingham Forest are yet to reveal how long the Nigeria international will spend on the sidelines. However, there are fears that he may spend several weeks out of action.
He shared a picture with the caption:
The Lord has done it, so no one can reverse it!
Human troubles cannot hinder the work of my God
Our help is from the Rock
Where He leads us to prosperity
Glory that the world has seen clearly
Goodness shall be our portion.

Since he shot into the limelight, Awoniyi has always unashamedly shown gratitude to God for his grace, and this new post is just one of many.
Last season, Awoniyi left it late, scoring six goals in the last four games of the season to help Nottingham Forest avoid relegation. This season, the club is in a similar situation, and coach Nuno Espirito Santo would hope that Awoniyi can recover in time with nine games left until the end of the season.
