The Gers have won their last nine games in all competitions, and they have established a lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership
Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers has charged his Rangers teammates to stay focused despite their 5-0 bashing of Hearts on Saturday, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Gers have been in superb form in recent weeks. They have won their last nine games in all competitions to build a five-point gap between themselves and close rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
They further accentuated their quality with a 5-0 win against Hearts on Saturday, thanks to goals from Dessers, Mohammed Diomande, Oscar Cortes, and Fabio Silva.
With their recent form, Rangers look like the favourites for the Premiership despite their rocky start to the campaign. Nonetheless, Dessers doesn’t want the team to get ahead of themselves and has urged them to stay focused.
“You can see we are in a good place just now. But we have to stay humble, keep our heads down and continue to work hard,” Dessers said per Daily Record.
“Hopefully, we can keep up this form. We are a really good team at this moment, but I still think there is quite a bit of growth left, and that’s a positive thing.
“That is the feeling of everyone in the training ground, and that is why we stay hungry. We need to keep working harder because we know there is more to come.”
Rangers have not won the Premiership in the last two seasons, but they would be looking to end the trend this season.
