The Super Falcons will be looking to get an upper hand against Cameroon on Friday, and Chiamaka is confident about their chances of victory
Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has expressed confidence in the team's chances of getting a good result in the first leg of their 2024 Olympic qualifiers clash against Cameroon, Soccernet.ng reports.
Nigeria will be looking to get an advantage when they play Cameroon at Stade de la Unification on Friday. Nigeria has the best team on the continent, but they have not qualified for the Olympics since the 2008 edition in Beijing.
So, they would be under pressure to stem the tide this time. Coach Randy Waldrum has the full complement of his team, and he would be looking to guide them past this stage.
Despite the Super Falcons' hiatus from the Olympics, shot-stopper Nnadozie insists that they are confident going into the fixture.
“We've talked about this game a lot. Right from the first day, we knew we were going to play against Cameroon. We've been working so hard, and yes, Cameroon is a very good side, they have good and fantastic players,” Nnadozie said per Soccernet.ng.
“So, we respect them so much, but tomorrow, we have to come out strong. We are confident, and I believe in the team, and we are ready to play this game.”
Following the first leg in Douala, the Super Falcons will welcome Cameroon in Nigeria on February 26.
