Toni Payne and Uchenna Kanu played crucial roles for the Super Falcons of Nigeria during their clash against Ethiopia and Cape Verde
The Super Falcons of Nigeria have arrived in Douala for the first leg of their Olympic qualification tie against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, as reported by Soccernet.ng.
Randy Waldrum and his team were spotted training at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja yesterday in preparation for their upcoming match against the Central African side.
Soccernet.ng can confirm exclusively that 19 players were present in camp ahead of the clash, with Toni Payne and Uchenna Kanu notably absent from the training session.
This suggests that the Racing Louisville and Sevilla Women’s Club players may not be ready to face the Indomitable Lionesses in the first leg of the qualifiers, although they could be available for the return leg scheduled for February 26th.
While Payne was expected to join the team on Wednesday morning and Kanu on Tuesday night, neither player was seen at training yesterday.

“As of yesterday’s evening training, [Uchenna] Kanu and [Toni] Payne are not yet present.” he told Soccernet.ng.
