The Napoli striker is proud to have several top musical stars emerging to the global scene from his beloved Nigeria
Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has showcased his appreciation for Nigeria’s music scene, singling out four emerging talents set to rival industry giants Davido and Wizkid, Soccernet.ng reports.
Acknowledging the global impact of Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido, Osimhen expressed confidence in the rising stars – Divine Ikubor ‘Rema,’ Stanley Didia ‘Omah Lay,’ Balogun Afolabi ‘Seyi Vibez,’ and Ahmed Ololade ‘Asake.’
While Olamide remains Osimhen’s favourite Nigerian act, the Napoli striker emphasised the promising future of the mentioned artists while voicing his pride at hailing from Nigeria.
“Aside from Wizkid and Davido, we have Asake, Seyi Vibez, Omah Lay, and Rema. Rema is one of the biggest artists now in the world,” Osimhen said in an interview with CBS Sports Golazo.
“Rema is there [top of global music], but these guys that I called, Omah Lay, Asake, and Seyi Vibez are also on the come up. In a few years, they are really going to burst out just like Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy.
“So, for me, it’s really good to be coming from Nigeria.”

Despite his musical insights, Osimhen’s immediate focus shifts to the football pitch.
The Super Eagles, unbeaten in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) group stage, gear up to face eternal rivals Cameroon in the last-16 clash.
Cameroon, securing their round of 16 spot with a hard-fought victory over the Gambia, face a determined Nigerian squad.
The historical rivalry between the two nations at AFCON adds anticipation to the clash, with form often proving unpredictable.
Osimhen, a key player for Nigeria, will aim to propel his team to the AFCON quarterfinals, a feat not achieved since 2019.
