Ahmed Musa scored a brace against Argentina at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, and then scored another brace against Iceland at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Super Eagles and Sivasspor winger, Ahmed Musa, has called on the government to intervene in the incessant killings of the inhabitants of Plateau State in Nigeria, Soccernet.ng reports.
Musa, 31, was born in the capital of Plateau State, Jos, where he began his football career before joining Kano Pillars on loan in the 2009/2010 season.
The former Leicester City forward made his Nigeria debut in 2010, aged 17, against Madagascar under the tutelage of the then coach, Augustine Eguavoen. He has gone on to play 108 games for the Green and Whites, scoring sixteen goals.
A native of Jos himself, the former CSKA Moscow man has cried out for the unity of the inhabitants of the state after several killings have been occurring in recent times.
Several villages have been burnt and wiped out in what looks to be a battle of one religious extreme against another, and nothing has been done so far.
The former Kano Pillars man took to his social media page to plead with the government of the state and the country as a whole to intervene to stop the bloodshed of innocent people.
A practising Muslim, Musa urged believers of both religions to come together and celebrate their differences, rather than allow them to cause a rift between both parties.

Musa was included in Jose Peseiro’s 25-man squad list for the AFCON 2023 tournament in Ivory Coast, but he is yet to make an appearance.
