“I will definitely play in the Premier League”- Chelsea, Arsenal on alert as Osimhen states ambition

Osimhen has been one of the best strikers in the world in the last two years, and some of the top sides in Europe want his signature

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that he will play in the English Premier League, but he wants to fulfil his other plans at Napoli, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen has been one of the best strikers in the world in the last two years. The 25-year-old Nigeria hitman had a spectacular campaign with Napoli last season, helping them to the Scudetto with 26 goals and winning the Capocannoniere in the process. He also broke longstanding goal records by African greats like Samuel Eto’o and George Weah.

Following his impressive performances, top European and Saudi-based sides have attempted to get his signature.

However, Osimhen refused to leave and penned a new deal that will keep him at Napoli until 2023. Nonetheless, the talks have not stopped, as Chelsea and Arsenal are currently searching for a striker.

In a new development, Osimhen has revealed that he will surely play in the English top-flight.

“I will definitely play in the Premier League. But for now, I have other plans in my career that I’m looking up to. When the time comes, everyone will know,” Osimhen told SkySports.

Osimhen is currently with the Super Eagles in Ivory Coast for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
